Diablo 3 gets deep into Tyrael's saga, as he transforms into The Fallen Star by tearing off his own wings and plummeting to Sanctuary that is where descendants of Nephalem live. Joining with Diablo IV Gold one such powerful descendant, Tyrael is able to eliminate the Prime Evils and takes control of the Black Soulstone. After the Archangel of Death, Maltheal, went after the stone, and then took on all of his companions It was Tyrael who sent his companion to Pandemonium to destroy death itself.

Tyrael decides to remain in his mortal form . He then is reunited with his angelic brothers and becomes both the Aspect of Justice and Wisdom. Diablo 3 ends with him considering whether his new mortal companion, who could become corrupted should soon become the next threat of Heaven, Hell, and Sanctuary as well as the very existence of life itself. In the end, The Aspect of Justice and Wisdom will not be able to sit back while Inarius marches an army upon Hell to find his first love, Lilith.

The latest Diablo 4 cinematic trailer from Blizzard has Inarius facing down Lilith with armies at both of their backs. Although this trailer does not show Tyrael's involvement directly, his creation of the Horadrim and influence with the Paladins of Sanctuary ensures that he's at work. Dark and light clash across the field, and the now-mortal Tyrael is somewhere in between.

It is likely his presence will be felt through these intermediaries until circumstances make him a victim. Tyrael has a hard time coping with the aftermath of destroying his Worldstone at the conclusion in Diablo 2. The mystical artifact shielded Sanctuary from Heaven and Hell and now protects the land as its successor. Tyrael does not appear likely to lead any further actions into Hell or venture much further then the Pandemonium Fortress, where he may offer advice like Deckard Cain for people who remain and listen.

Five different Diablo classes that can be played have been announced so far and all of them are alternatives to the earlier games.
