The newly declared remaster of Diablo 2 from Ruify's blog

In Diablo 2 Resurrected, the newly declared remaster of Diablo 2, Blizzard Entertainment could have discovered that Diablo 4 Gold cinematic and attracted the warden in. However, regardless of the initial intention or that which makes more sense in the scene, which goes against Blizzard's doctrine for Resurrected.

Ahead of BlizzConline, we spoke to Rod Fergusson, executive director of the Diablo franchise in Blizzard, and Rob Gallerani, chief designer at Blizzard's support division, Vicarious Visions. And after working on the industry's"worst-kept secret," the pair were apparent about Diablo 2 Resurrected: This really is actually the Diablo 2 you understand, warts and all.

"This is not a remake," said Fergusson. "We're not reverse-engineering it; we're not rebuilding it and trying to make it look and sound like [Diablo 2]. This ist's appropriate there, underneath the surface. The whole simulation, the engine for this game, that lifeblood of this game, is correct underneath. So there is a toggle switch, a heritage toggle, that if you press on the button, you will see behind the drapes, and there's Diablo 2 in 2D sprites running right there, and now you're able to play the way that you played 20 years ago."

Within our 30-minute chat, the pair couldn't have made the philosophy for Diablo 2 Resurrected much more clear. It's -- because it needed to be -- that the sport players remembered. Blizzard felt that most deviations, even significant quality-of-life features, are a step too far.

"Most gamers play the map up while they play the sport," explained Gallerani. "And a request we have in the play -- very much from people who have never played are used to playing more modern games -- will be like, I just got a quest. Where is the dot on the map telling me where to go? It is not making my character overpowered or something like that. And Cheap Diablo 2 Resurrected Items it completely changed the vibe of this match ."
